In an exciting new initiative aimed at fostering creativity and digital skills among students, local schools in Cyprus are being funded to create their own web radio stations and podcasts as part of the IncludeArt project. This innovative project, supported by various organizations including RESET, seeks to provide teachers with new tools to engage students at risk of exclusion, enhance student participation, and promote social inclusion through the arts.

RESET has funded two schools in Cyprus to set up their own radio studios: Foley’s School in Limassol and Archangelos Apostolos Markos Lyceum. These schools will now be equipped to create their own web radio stations and podcasts, providing students and teachers with innovative digital platforms to express their creativity, share knowledge, and build a stronger sense of community.

The IncludeArt project is a pioneering effort to support students and teachers by enhancing their digital skills through the creation of web radio stations. This initiative aims to support the professional development of teachers by equipping them with inclusive and creative competencies, and engaging students at risk of exclusion to improve their participation and well-being. It also aims to facilitate communication among students from diverse backgrounds and areas, fostering a sense of community and inclusion. Additionally, it provides marginalized students with new opportunities to express themselves and develop their creative and personal skills.

By enabling schools to establish their own web radio stations, the IncludeArt project not only promotes the use of art and digital tools in education but also encourages intercultural dialogue and empathy among students. The history of music and art will be integral to the project, with success stories of artists from disadvantaged and marginalized groups serving as sources of inspiration. The IncludeArt project addresses the emerging challenges, providing innovative solutions to engage students and support their social well-being and inclusion.
